KSV Nima Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett Deposition Troughs (KSV Nima
L & LB Troughs) are used for the fabrication and characterisation of single
molecule thick films and offer the precision control over the lateral packing
density of molecules.

Dip Coaters
KSV Nima Dip Coaters are designed to deposit layers of materials in a controlled and repeatable
way. It is possible to deposit films of various thicknesses, from monolayers to multilayered
structures. MATERIALS SCIENCE
Dip coating can be applied to a large variety of materials from the inorganic sols and inorganic
nanoparticles to self-assembling biochemical systems.

The following surface coatings can, for example, be created :
• Sol-gel coatings
• Layer-by-layer assemblies
• Self-assembled monolayers
The product range covers compact instruments for coating small samples in a single vessel to
more complex systems enabling horizontal and vertical movement for multi-vessel operations 18
and coating of large samples.
