Cryogen-free Optical Cryostats
Flexible, innovative, closed-cycle systems for state-of-the-art cryogenic experiments
Cryostation
The Cryostation is Montana Instrument’s flagship optical cryostat product. It has a temperature range of
3.2-350 K, ultra-low vibrations of < 5 nm (peak-to-peak) and excellent temperature stability (± 5 mK).
Options:
• Magneto-optic module (up to 1.4 Tesla field)
• RF, fiber, DC and gas feedthroughs
• Low working distance configurations (< 1 mm)
Nanoscale Workstation
The Nanoscale Workstation provides a miniature cold bread board at your fingertips. Built on established
CRYOGENICS numerous optics and multiple low-temperature nano-positioners. • 195 mm cold bread board diameter
technology of the Cryostation, the larger cold sample space allows for the integration of larger samples,
Features:
• 4.3-350 K temperature range
• 8 optical ports
• <15 nm vibrations (peak-to-peak)
Cryostation Microscope
The Cryostation Microscope is Montana Instruments’ turn-key approach to low-drift high-NA low-
temperature confocal imaging. With built in nano-positioners for sample translation at low temperatures, an
integrated high NA microscope objective, and unprecedented low sample drift; the Cryostation Microscope
is the perfect tool for low-temperature imaging or spectroscopy experiments.
Features:
• 3.5-350 K temperature range (< 10 mK temperature stability)
21 • Integrated vacuum compatible Zeiss microscope objective, 100x, 0.9 NA, 310 µm working distance
• Built-in open-loop XYZ low-temperature nano-positioners
